MURDER most foul on a dark, dark night – Sheffield drama students are bringing one of history’s most fearsome killers to the stage in their annual winter show.

Teenagers at Norton College are depicting the dastardly deeds of Jack the Ripper in a play featuring horror, music, and comedy.

Student Stephanie Dunn, who is part of the production, said the Victorian London-based drama was inspired by the true story of the gruesome Whitechapel murders of 1888.

“It’s a real mixture of different styles of comedy from our gang, with both horror and moments of pathos,” she said.

Performances, for over 12s only, are on December 6, 7, 8 and 9 and start at 7.15pm.

Ticket are £5 and £3.50 on the night.
