A MAN’S body was discovered in a Sheffield park.
The discovery was made in Longley Park, off Longley Lane, yesterday, at about 7.20am, leading to police cordoning off the surrounding area.
Officers carried out investigations at the scene and sealed off Longley Lane to protect the area.
The road was reopened about three hours later, when detectives were satisfied that the death was not the result of a crime.
The coroner has been informed and an inquest will now be held.
A police spokeswoman said: “Police were called to Longley Park after the body of a man was found. At this stage, police are not treating the death as suspicious. A short section of Longley Lane was temporarily closed.”
