SHEFFIELD rock band Def Leppard have always inspired loyalty among their fans, but sisters Lindsay and Jennifer Klinefelter take some beating.

They were making an 11,000-mile round trip from Las Vegas to see the group’s homecoming concert at the Motorpoint Arena on Tuesday night.

After changing planes in Chicago and arriving in Manchester on Sunday morning, Lindsay, aged 25, and Jennifer, 27, were appropriately on the front row. Then it was back to Manchester Airport on Wednesday morning.

Speaking before the concert, Lindsay said: “We are lifelong fans, being exposed to their music at an early age through our dad’s vinyl records.

“We have followed Def Leppard across the United States and seen them in San Diego, Chicago and Boston, to Las Vegas casinos. Of course we own all the records and DVDs.

“But we realise the history and significance Sheffield has to the band, so to experience this particular concert will be extremely special.”
