With December just around the corner, get a head start on the Christmas presents and take advantage of the Black Friday sales going on this weekend. If shopping isn’t your cup of tea, there are plenty of activities and cultural events going on as well. Here are our top picks.

I Can Read With My Eyes Shut

The new exhibition on the ground floor gallery of Park Hill showcases the work of Emily Musgrave, Joseph Cutts, Natalie Finnemore and Peter Martin. All four artists are supported by the S1 Artspace bursary programme, supporting graduates in their first year of the profession.

Bread in a Day - Bread-making Class

Santa Dash

Support Blind Veterans UK and run in the festive 5k Santa Dash. The registration fee includes a free Santa suit, and children of all ages are ages can attend for free.

Alternative Christmas Fair

This city centre Christmas fair will include a Santa’s grotto, farmer’s market and craft stall. A magician will be turning tricks along with other entertainment. Seasonal offerings such as mulled wine and mince pies will also be available.
