WHO needs Crufts when you can have Scruffs!

Prized pooches from a Sheffield community were put through their paces by their owners at a special neighbourhood dog show.

The Scruffs show was held in Tannery Park, Woodhouse, and attracted competitive canines of all shapes and sizes, from Rottweilers to West Highland White terriers.

Categories included most similar-looking dog and owner, best-dressed dog and owner, best-behaved dog and best large and small dogs.

Judges were David Peace and Wendy Zaherali, from Wendy’s Dog Grooming Salon on Middlewood Road.

Winners in the best-dressed category were Jilly Watts and her dog Jake, who sported a stylish bandana.

Gemma Mallinson and her pet, Fifi, took home the small dog prize, while best in show was awarded to rescue dog Cassie, brought along by her owner Nicky Hattersley.
