A queue of about 300 fans snaked along Fargate to see Sheffield indie band Reverend and the Makers play an acoustic set in the HMV store in High Street on Monday night.

It was also a chance for fans to have signed copies of the new album, Thirty Two, which is racing up the charts.

Frontman Jon McClure said: “It’s a testament to our fans. We have a really good core of fans up and down the country. It’s great to see so many people here - we’re going from strength to strength.”
