This grinning yob who injured two police officers after crashing a stolen car into their vehicle has been jailed.
Paul Wilcock, aged 38, of Fairleigh Manor, was sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court to four years and three months after a jury found him guilty of burglary, theft of a motor vehicle and dangerous driving.
The court heard how, in the early hours of Saturday, April 4, Wilcock broke into a house on Kenwell Drive, Bradway.
Sheffield Crown Court was told that Wilcock stole several electronic items and a specialised mobility car worth around £15,000.
A short time after, Wilcock failed to stop for police officers in the stolen car, crashing into a police vehicle causing over £30,000 worth of damage.
Two police officers were injured during the pursuit.
Investigating officer Police Constable Dean Craik said: “Wilcock has shown no remorse for his crimes and continued to deny his involvement in the burglary, so I am pleased that he is now behind bars.
“Burglary is an invasive and terrifying crime for the victims and I hope they are reassured by the swift action taken to apprehend Wilcock and bring him before the courts.”
