A SHEFFIELD couple who started a new life working with Rwandan street kids are hosting a ball to raise awareness of their work.
Catherine and Simon Ross moved last year from Broomhill to Africa to act as parents to hundreds of children in a country torn apart by genocide. Now they are hosting a charity ball at the Holiday Inn Royal Victoria Hotel on Saturday, July 7, in aid of Sheffield-based charity, Rwandachild.
Cat said: “It was a huge decision to leave our lives here in Sheffield but what we are doing out there is amazing.”
Half the proceeds from the ball will go to a school in Rwanda.
