Sheffield murder suspect released on bail over shooting attack

A man arrested over a fatal shooting in Sheffield has been released on bail this morning.

The suspect, aged 20, from Sheffield, was arrested on Wednesday in connection with the death of Jordan Thomas in Sheffield last month.

The 22-year-old, from Firshill, was gunned down in a car last month.

He was the passenger in a silver Ford Mondeo which was targeted at traffic lights at the junction of Derek Dooley Way and Sheffield Parkway.

The driver of the car, a 27-year-old man, was also shot but survived the gun attack.

Mohammed Asif Yousaf, 32, of Violet Bank Road, Nether Edge, has been charged with murder and attempted murder.

A 25-year-old man also arrested in connection with the death remains on bail pending further enquiries.

The third suspect, a 20-year-old man, was released on bail this morning.
