On a sunny autumn morning, Sheffield paid annual tribute to its victims of war.

More than 1,000 people attended Sunday’s Remembrance Day service in Barkers Pool, described as the biggest turnout in years.

Current and former servicemen and women were joined by civic leaders in a ceremony led by the Rev Alan Isaacson, rector of Bradfield and Lord Mayor’s chaplain. Armistice Day was marked on Monday.
