NOW in its 6th year, the Sheffield Adventure Film Festival is reportedly bigger and better than ever!

It’s an annual three-day event of adventure films and lectures at the Showroom Cinema.

With a record-breaking number of entries this year, organiser Matt Heason has hand-picked sixty of the best adventure films from around the world.

For climbers and mountaineers there’s a cracking line-up with 3 special screenings including ‘Swiss Machine’ - Ueli Steck’s alpine speed-climb of the Eiger; ‘Point of No Return’ - the story of Jonny Copp and Micah Dash’s attempt to make a first ascent of China’s Mt Edgar; and ‘First-Ascent – The Brothers Wild’ in which Timmy and his paralysed brother Sean tackle El Cap and Alaska’s Ruth Gorge. There are also lectures by Andy Kirkpatrick and Kenton Cool.

The festival runs from March 4 to March 5.
