IF IT’S thrills and spills you’re after you’d have to go a long way to beat this... Take a mixture of talented inline skaters, throw in some crazy stunts, and offer some cash prizes and it’s a recipe for high octane entertainment.

Of course there’s also a potential for spectacular crashes and a whole lot of bruises, sprains and broken bones to boot.

Skaters from around the region came together at the House Skate Park in Bardwell Street, Neepsend, Sheffield, to do battle in a fourth annual event.

First prize was £300 in cash, £150 went to the runner-up, and £75 was awarded for third.

“We believe cash prizes bring out the best in everyone when the heat is on!” said last year’s winner Nick Lomax.

Besides the chance of winning, skaters and fans were attracted by giveaways, a barbecue, a clothing shop with all the latest fashions and a DJ.
