On each of the five nights in Sheffield, around 7,000 local school children will perform, along with Lucy, who will entertain audiences with tracks from her upcoming album.

Young Voices is designed to unify primary school children from across the region and to boost their confidence by giving them the opportunity to sing in huge venues alongside top artists from the world of music.

Registered schools learn songs from various genres, including folk, pop, rock and classical, in their music lessons, before performing them in a show at their local arena.

Managing Director of Young Voices Ben Lewis, said: “Every pupil should be exposed to music at an early age, whether the joy is singing, playing an instrument or loving the sound of music, the potential benefits are huge.”

This year’s event covers London, Manchester, Birmingham and Sheffield, giving more than 110,000 children from across the UK the opportunity to participate and enjoy the experience of singing.

Tickets for Young Voices at the Motorpoint Arena are available from the arena box office, by contacting 0114 256 5656, or visiting www.motorpointarenasheffield.co.uk.
