AN ARTS collective was today bringing together Sheffield’s best creative talent to cement the city’s place on the UK’s cultural map.
The Hantu Collective brings together musicians, artists and independent businesses for a free celebration of Sheffield’s alternative scene.
Gig venue The Leadmill was opening its doors to revellers from 3pm today.
There will also be independent stalls stocking clothing, jewellery, and posters.
The event has been organised by Hantu, which began about three years ago as a pair of young people designing T-shirts for friends, before opening a city centreshop.
The store has since closed, but Sheffield-born graphic designer Geo Law and business partner Angga Kura have seen their business go from strength to strength.
Geo said: “We want to demonstrate the creative underbelly Sheffield has to offer.”
