Supermarket bosses are asking Sheffield shoppers whether their store should be renamed.

The new Asda Mosborough store has been open on Beighton Road East, near the Crystal Peaks retail park since January.

But customers have told bosses they think the name is wrong because of where the supermarket is located – and now the store has started a Facebook poll to see if it should be changed.

Steve Ryan, who has just taken over as the new store manager at Asda Mosborough, said: “I’ve listened to the feedback from colleagues, customers and other people I know who say we’ve got the name wrong.

“I think it’s a great idea to get our customers to vote and I’m really looking forward to hearing what the local community decide.”

People are being asked whether the name should stay the same or be changed to either Crystal Peaks, Drakehouse or Beighton Road.

The poll closes on Tuesday, October 14.
