Two-time World Squash Champion Nick Matthew became the latest Sheffielder to have his name added to the ‘Walk of Fame’ in front of the town hall.

The 33-year-old described himself as ‘a humble squash player’, but admitted he had things in common with some other local ‘legends’.

“I train as hard as Jessica Ennis, I support the same team as Michael Vaughan and I travel as much as Michael Palin!”

Nick, a member of Hallamshire Tennis and Squash Club, has helped teach his sport to disabled pupils at Talbot Special School and is a patron of St Luke’s Hospice and family respite centre Amy’s House.
