Sheffield star baker Howard Middleton turned out to the first food festival held at a sheltered housing scheme.

Cooking workshops were held at the Kinsey Road Sheltered Housing scheme, High Green, as well as a baking contest – judged by Great British Bake-off star Howard.

Howard, who appeared on the 2013 series of the BBC show, said: “The standard of baking was high and it was brilliant to see an interest in food bring people together of all ages.”
