A SHEFFIELD student who lost her grandmother to cancer is leading a day of charity fundraising.
Lauren King, aged 20, from Wisewood, will sit in a bath of coffee beans in Meadowhall for Macmillan Cancer Support on Wednesday.
The stunt will promote the charity’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on September 28.
The charity wants 1,000 people to hold coffee mornings across South Yorkshire to raise over £150,000 to support local people affected by cancer.
Rob Turner, Macmillan fundraiser for Sheffield, said: “All we want is for people to do something they enjoy with people they want to spend time with while raising some money for Macmillan.”
