HELPING to make the seven hills of Sheffield come alive with The Sound of Music - or at least the Lyceum Theatre - are the children from the cast of Croft House Theatre Company, who will be staging the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical later this month.

The first live production of the classic show performed on a Sheffield stage in ten years has proved a sell-out well ahead of its run from March 13 to 17.

The Von Trapp children will be performed by a team of two groups. James Hadabora and Daniel Fenwick will share the role of Freidrich, Emma Guest and Rebecca Hanneman (Louisa), Ewan Revill and Jack Skelton (Kurt), Charlotte Stone and Pippa Crossland (Brigitta), Connie Campbell and Alice Banister (Marta), Maddison King and Thea Barnes (Gretl).

See next week’s Telegraph for Bernard Lee’s full preview of the show.
