Who could ask for more? Four likely lads will be taking centre stage this Christmas in leading roles in the musical Oliver! at the Crucible Theatre.
And two of them can consider themselves at home - as they are from Sheffield. Making his professional debut in the title role is 11-year-old Walkley Primary School pupil Jack Skilbeck Dunn (right) and Ranmoor boy Travis Caddy, aged 14 (left), will be playing the cheeky Artful Dodger. The Birkdale student has already played the part of Nathan in The Full Monty which opened at the Lyceum in February.
Travis will alternate the role of the Cockney pickpocket with 13-year-old Jack Armstrong from York - while Barnsley youngster Samual Bailey, 12, shares the part of Oliver.
The production of Lionel Bart’s multi award-winning musical, with Phil Davis as Fagin, will run at the Crucible from November 29 to January 25.
