Thieves target cars and vans across Sheffield

Police officers in Sheffield are investigating a spate of vehicle break-ins.

One of the investigations underway involves the overnight theft of a Vauxhall Astra from Greenhill Avenue, Greenhill.

Officers are also investigating van break-ins across the city, with thefts reported in Essendine Crescent, Norton Lees; Upper Albert Road, Meersbrook; Longford Road, Totley; Old Park Avenue, Beauchief; Blenheim Mews, Ecclesall and Oliver Road, Millhouses.

There was an attempted break-in on Woollaton Road, Totley.

Number plates have been stolen from a number of vehicles, with incidents reported in Abbeydale Road, Abbeydale; Psalter Lane, Nether Edge; South View Road, Sharrow and Artisan View, Heeley.

A set of lights were stolen from a Vauxhall Corsa parked on Agden Road, Nether Edge; the bumper and headlights were stolen from a vehicle in Gibbons Drive, Norton and a wheel was stolen from a transit van in Cawthorne Grove, Woodseats.
