A beloved dog dubbed ‘Sheffield’s biggest fundraiser’ has died.

Titch, a seven-year-old Irish wolfhound, helped raise thousands of pounds for the Sheffield-based Support Dogs charity.

The charity trains dogs to help people with autism, epilepsy and physical disability.

Owner Shirley Lumley, administrator at the charity said: “Titch was a reluctant celebrity, but I am proud of the work he did as Support Dogs’ biggest fundraiser, raising thousands.”

Danny Anderson, fundraising manager for Support Dogs, said “For the past seven years Titch has been the most wonderful ambassador for our charity. We will miss him enormously.”
