FORMER footballer-turned-boxer Curtis Woodhouse put a Twitter troll in his place by driving 70 miles to track him down in Sheffield.

The ex-Sheffield United star was called a ‘complete disgrace’ on the social networking site by ‘Jimmyob88’, who had been targeting Woodhouse on Twitter for months, after losing his English light-welterweight title on Friday night.

Woodhouse, aged 32, now living in Driffield, was so enraged with the abuse that he offered £1,000 to anyone who could help him find the culprit. Fellow Twitter users gave a street name in Sheffield, and the former Blade set off with the message: ‘We are coming over for a brew’.

The confrontation never happened as Jimmyob88 backtracked and tweeted: ‘I am sorry it’s getting a bit out of hand. I am in the wrong. I accept that.’
