Universities race to help hospice

STUDENTS, staff and alumni from Sheffield’s two universities are training for a sporting challenge in aid of St Luke’s Hospice.

The Sheffield Varsity 10k will start and end at Don Valley Stadium on March 25 and will be the first time that the University of Sheffield and Hallam University have gone head to head over 10,000m.

The event is being organised by friends and former students Alison Muir and Alice Fairhall.

Entry is £3. All entrants will receive a University of Sheffield or Hallam University t-shirt and members of the public can sign up.
