OXYGEN had to be given to a resident suffering the effects of smoke inhalation after fire swept through the kitchen of a South Yorkshire home.
Firefighters gave the first aid to the occupant of the house on Hillcrest, Thurnscoe, after being called to the blaze just after noon yesterday.
South Yorkshire Fire & rescue said the cause of the incident was being investigated.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus fought the flames. The resident did not need hospital treatment.
Meanwhile, firefighters were also called to Bank House Lane, Thurlstone, near Penistone, to a fire in the open which involved a propane gas cylinder.
The fire, on land off Bank House Lane, was reported at 4.25pm.
