VIDEO: Former Sheffield student living in Charleston reacts to church shooting

A former Sheffield student living in Charleston has spoke about the public’s reaction since the church shooting in the South Carolina city.

David Rowe, who was born in Nether Edge Hospital and studied at the University of Sheffield between 2000 and 2003, has lived in Charleston for three years.

He has made a YouTube video about how the city has reacted to the shooting, which saw nine people shot dead at The Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church.

Dylann Roof, has been arrested and charged in connection with the attack, which police believe was racially motivated.

Mr Rowe made the video for his friend to her pupils at a school in Cornwall.
