Murphy the Sheffield dog is looking for a family with room in their lives for an affectionate, steady and loving rottweiler.
The ‘fun’ dog, with a black and tan coat, is aged two-and-a-half, but already shows a lot of loving maturity.
Tony Benham, RSPCA Sheffield branch manager, said: “This fabulous fellow was brought to us by transfer from the RSPCA Bawtry branch, so he can meet some new potential owners in our area and so we can find the perfect match for him.
“His history is a bit of mystery, but he has no known health issues and if he has had a ‘ruff’ time, it hasn’t affected his outgoing and loving nature.
“He loves to play with his toys and he’d respond well to food-based training as he enjoys his treats.
“Murphy loves people and his cuddles, which means he can be a bit excitable and bubbly on first meeting them, but he soon settles down.”
The RSPCA said Murphy would suit a family with children aged over 14.
Due to being more people-orientated than animal-focused, he will need to be the only pet in his new home.
