VIDEO: Pup Bella is a beauty

Waiting for Video...

Say Ciao Bella to this three-legged beauty at RSPCA Sheffield.

Bella is a five-month-old puppy who doesn’t let her missing leg stop her from bounding around and having fun.

Animal care manager Tony Benham, of the Attercliffe-based Sheffield Animal Centre, said: “Bella is a lovely little girl who came to us with a nasty injury to her front leg.

“Unfortunately, the leg was unable to be saved but it hasn’t affected Bella’s wonderful, joyful nature.

“Her three legs mean that she will need to be kept as lean as possible to limit strain on her remaining limbs but in every other way she is a normal puppy.”

Bella needs an owner who has had plenty of experience in training puppies, and preferably some knowledge of owning Staffy-type dogs.

If Bella’s new home has children, youngsters over ten are preferred. She is likely to get on well with tolerant, confident, older dogs.

Tony said: “This bundle of fun has so much love to give to right person or family. They should not be put off by her only having three legs – she certainly isn’t.”

He added: “Please do come along and say ‘Ciao Bella’ – she’d love to meet you and win your heart.”
