British Pathe has released a rarely seen public information film about Sheffield made in 1933.
Entitled 'Famous Cities of Britain No. 7' the film features a voiceover from the then Lord Mayor of Sheffield, Alderman Ernest Wilson, and shows a Sheffield a world away from the city we live in today.
The footage includes scenes of the Peak District, city centre, Town Hall, double decker vintage trams, and a bustling High Street.
There is also footage of the Sheffield's world famous steelworks as well as cutlery production.
