Former patients at the Burns Unit at Sheffield Children’s Hospital have been bouncing back in a sponsored trampoline event.
The 18 youngsters who signed up to the Theo’s Burns Club sponsored bounce at Ponds Forge in Sheffield have so far raised around £800 for The Theo’s Burns Club fund at The Children’s Hospital Charity.
Staff hope that the final amount will rise to £1,000.
Leading the way in seeing how many bounces they could do in a minute was Bradley with 130 bounces, closely followed by Leo Cotton with 126, Louis with 110 and Paris with 75.
Ward manager and organiser Julie Baker said: “This is a brilliant way for the children to have fun and raise money for the Theo’s Burns Club.
“The older children have collected sponsors for bouncing on the trampoline and the toddlers had a fun time bouncing on a bouncy castle!
“All the money we raise is used to help and support the children and families who come to the Burns Unit because they have suffered a burn.
“The money can be used for day trips, or for residential camps that help children with burns scars to build their self esteem and make new friends.
“I would like to thank everyone who has come and bounced for Theo’s Burns Club.”
