Residents are being urged to cast their vote in the local and European elections on Thursday.

Polling stations across the city will be open from 7am until 10pm on the day.

Results from the local elections will be announced on Friday and the European winners will be revealed on Sunday evening.

John Mothersole, returning officer for the local elections in Sheffield, said: “By now, everyone in Sheffield who’s on the electoral roll should have received a polling card, showing which polling station they need to go to in order to vote.”

Postal votes can also be handed in at polling stations.

Call Sheffield Council’s elections helpline on 0114 273 4093 with any queries.
