It was a bad start to the night for Fleetwood Town chairman Andy Pilley as he arrived at the wrong ground for his team’s match with Rotherham United.
The Cod Army chief ended up at Sheffield’s Don Valley Stadium - now a pile of rubble - instead of the Millers swanky new home at the New York Stadium in the town.
Pilley posted on Twitter: “Disaster. We have just arrived at the Don Valley. Damn sat nav has took us to old ground.”
The Millers last played at Don Valley during the 2011/12 season but since moving to New York have secured back-to-back promotions to the Championship.
Rotherham are playing Fleetwood in the first round of the Capital One cup tonight.
