Winning pupils get on their bikes to show pedal power is best

PEDAL power is best!

Children from a Sheffield school tried out cycles of all shapes and sizes after scooping top place in a competition to encouage youngsters to get on their bikes

Pupils from Meynell Primary School in Parson Cross won The Big Pedal competition, which aims to getting children to cycle to school.

And part of their prize was a fun day organised by Get Cycling, which gave youngsters the opportunity to try out a different types of bicycles and tricycles.

City Bike It officer Henry Norman, who works with Meynell, said: “Our goal is to promote cycling as a healthy, environmentally-friendly way to get to school.”
