Chair of UNA in Sheffield
Deacon Dave Havard (Telegraph letters, February 10) comments that the stories of the Karen people of Burma have not been heard.
There is an opportunity in Sheffield to hear something of their story on Thursday February 24.
Htoo Ku Hsar Say, chair of the Karen Community Association, will be speaking in the Quaker Meeting House, St James Street (near the Cathedral) at 7.30pm. She came to the UK in 2006, and is now settled in Sheffield. She will be accompanied by one or two colleagues.
The meeting is organised by the United Nations Association in Sheffield, and anyone interested is very welcome to attend. Refreshments from 7pm.
