Today was our turn for a three-bin collection. The agreement was that our heavy paper box – whose torn top blows away and newspapers are wind-blown across the valley – would be collected by the binmen.
For this, many thanks.
I happened to notice one of the men began to wheel the tall blue bin back up the drive; he suddenly stopped, realising that this was meant to be returned by us.
However, instead of just leaving the bin halfway, he wheeled it back to the pavement. Isn’t that called work to rule?
