ROCKET Man Sir Elton John has failed to lift off after a bout of ill health – his postponed UK tour, including a Sheffield Arena date, has now been cancelled.

The pop superstar was to have played four Red Piano show concerts last month, starting in Sheffield, on October 23.
But he pulled out on the afternoon of the show after falling ill. It has now been confirmed he has been suffering from influenza and an e-coli bacterial infection.
Due to venue availability in all four cities and the scale of the Red Piano show, these shows cannot be rescheduled and have now been cancelled, explained a spokesman.
His only UK performance in 2010 will be a concert in aid of Watford Football Club on Saturday, May 29, 2010. Tickets can be purchased by calling the box office on 0844 856 1881 or online at
