Blaze garages under police guard

A BLOCK of garages was sealed off and under police guard while detectives investigated the cause of the blaze which broke out earlier today.
Firefighters were alerted to flames in a row of garages on Broom Road, Broom, Rotherham, at 9.30am and police were called out.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: "South Yorkshire Police were called to Broom Road, Rotherham, following a re
port of some garages being on fire.

"South Yorkshire Police are treating the cause as suspicious as a matter of course.

"Officers and firefighters remain at the scene."
