The union's Sheffield Volunteering arm said the cash will fund initiatives including sports coaching, allowing students to volunteer at l

Money will also help existing projects, including 'Love where you Live', which brings students and residents closer together through activities aimed at brightening up their neighbourhood. It will be expanded from Crookesmoor into Broomhall. This year, 1,200 staff and students from 45 University departments supported 126 organisationsand Sheffield Volunteering hopes to increase this further.
