It's Batman.
The real man behind the mask, like fictional hero Bruce Wayne, is an anonymous wealthy businessman who is dishing out cash to improve lives in South Yorkshire.
Click on the green play button to watch the video of BatmanHe says he and his business partner have secretly donated thousands of pounds to charities in recent years.
Now, wearing a £3,000 movie replica Batman suit, he aims to preserve his identity while giving a bigger profile to worthy good causes.
He's hoping his public spiritedness will inspire others to also give their time and money to charities.
The caped-crusader pledged to feed the homeless, work for voluntary groups and hand over toys to sick and underprivileged children.
And he's been busy.
POW! Batman turned city centre heads when he delivered dozens of mince pies, helped to serve full English breakfasts and chatted to the homeless at Sheffield's Cathedral Archer Project.
WHAM! The mystery businessman rattled Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice collection tins in the street, then worked behind the tills and stocked shelves, with new toys he donated, at the charity's shop in King Street.
BAM! Then it was off to bring smiles to the faces of children, where he funded 20 new toys and handed them out personally to kids at Sheffield Children's Hospice.
SMASH! Batman is calling for readers of The Star and radio listeners to give generously to The Star and Hallam FM's Cash For Kids Christmas Toys Appeal.
On a city centre rooftop, in a disguised gruff voice, more Attercliffe than American, he told The Star: "I know some people will think I'm bonkers. But I've always done charity work anonymously and this way I can continue doing that, while giving more of a profile to the charities.
"My message is simple – you don't need to be a superhero, or super wealthy, to give to deserving causes this Christmas or all year round.
"If you can give cash, or toys, that's fantastic. But the most precious thing we can all offer is our time."
He added: " I've used the Batman suit to help charities before, but never like this. I hear another charity worker is doing the same this Christmas in a Batman suit in America. Good on him."
Sheffield Children's Hospital fundraiser Fran Hunt praised Batman's visit for putting a smile on the faces of young patients and staff.
She said cash to buy toys is most welcome this Christmas. But she also called for medical research donations and said: "The research done here can potentially save lives, so a donation really will be the best gift anyone can give us.''
Cathedral Archer Project cook Maggie Durand helped Batman to serve breakfasts as part of its daily support for almost 100 homeless and vulnerable people.
Project workers Andy Parfrement and Sam Pryor introduced him to Big Issue seller Gary Ashmore, aged 26 – homeless for four years.
Tim Renshaw, Project Manager, explained five ways to help.
He said: "Become a regular donor, volunteer time and skills, donate food, find out more about us and invite us to talk at your club or society."
Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice, with charity shops in Sheffield, Doncaster, Wombwell, Worksop and Dinnington, needs more than £46,000 a week to provide palliative care for children and their families. King Street shop manager Lesley Seedhouse said: "We need items to sell and volunteers to work in the shop. Please help."
