CHESTERFIELD Royal Hospital is inviting people who share the same 60th birthday as the NHS to join its anniversary celebrations.
The NHS turns 60 on July 5, an event to be marked by a celebration event at the hospital on July 2.
Hospital bosses are inviting former patients who turn 60 on the same day to join the party, and have extended the invitation to include anyone mar
king the milestone birthday this year - to a maximum of 60 guests.
Chief executive Eric Morton said: "We wanted to involve patients and the public we work for in marking such a milestone of service for the NHS.
"There may only have been a hospital on this site for 24 years, but there has been one in Chesterfield since 1854. It's only appropriate that the people we serve be at the forefront of our celebrations."
The party takes place at Links restaurant from 6pm. For an invitation email communications@chesterfieldroyal.nhs.uk or call 01246 512 681. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
