Knifeman captured on camera in the street - PICTURE

THIS shadowy figure fleeing along the street is a suspected knifeman who had terrorised a woman in her own bedroom just moments earlier.
Police have released the picture of a man they believe to have entered they woman's bedroom before threatening her with a knife.

The CCTV still shows a man running on Green Arbour Road in Thurcroft.

The 32-year-old woman woke up at around 5.15am on Sunday, August 17 to discover the man standing in her bedroom on South Street in Thurcroft.

She told police he threatened her with the knife and asked her questions about the property.

He eventually left taking her large yellow and grey striped purse from downstairs, which contained a number of cards and a small amount of cash, and left wearing her purple jacket.

The offender got into the house through the front door, which had been accidentally left open.

He is described as white, aged 20 to 30, around 5ft 8ins tall, medium build with a bald or shaved head.
