A SHEFFIELD community group has won a national award for the third year running.
Kettlebridge Action Group scooped a Green Pennant accolade for transforming Kettle-bridge Doorstep Green, on Myton Road, Darnall.
The awards are for voluntary and community groups in recognition for work managing high quality green spaces.
The
park was transformed from a strip of grass plagued by fly-tipping into a popular community space with seating, paths, games areas, art features and murals.
Coun Shaffaq Mohammed, Sheffield Council cabinet member for environment, said: "The award is well deserved.
"This year, it specifically recognised continuing cooperation between the residents' group and the council's Darn-all Green Spaces Regeneration Project. The park is a favourite with all members of the community, especially children."
The Kettlebridge Action Group and Heeley City Farm are two of the only three Green Pennant winners in Yorkshire.
