FIREFIGHTERS were called to a sheltered housing complex in Sheffield when a pan boiled dry on a hob, filling a man's flat with smoke.
The pensioner, who lives in the Applegarth complex on Applegarth Close, Intake, escaped unhurt from his flat before fire crews arrived.
