Older folk are scams target

MORE than eight out of 10 people in Yorkshire and Humberside think older people are more at risk of scams now than in previous years.
A survey by Age Concern has found that 83 per cent of people in Yorkshire and Humberside think there is a greater risk of older people being scammed, with 71 per cent worried relatives or friends could become victims.

Fraud is one of the fastest growing crimes in the UK, with vulnerable older people often targeted.
