PAINT The Town Red! Wear your Doncaster Rovers colours with pride - and raise money for Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice.
The Star is urging fans to take part in a region wide spectacular ahead of the League One Play Off Final at Wembley on Sunday.

Join in our Paint The Town Red campaign by wearing your Rovers football tops in offices, shops, factories and schools.

Simply ask your boss or headteacher if you can wear your Doncaster Rovers shirt to work or school this Friday - in return for making a minimum £1 charity donation.

Workers and those unable to get to Wembley can take part on Saturday and Sunday!

If you can't wear a replica shirt, ask if you can turn up in an outfit consisting of red and white clothing.

Let's just show our support to send Doncaster Rovers off to Wembley in great spirits for their crunch match against Leeds United.

It will raise much needed cash for Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice, which started out as an idea in Doncaster and is about to open its doors at North Anston.

The Primary aim of Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice service is to care for and support children with life limiting and life threatening conditions and their families, resident in South Yorkshire, some parts of North Lincolnshire, North East Derbyshire and North Nottinghamshire.

But it needs £2.4 million a year and your support is vital.

Bob Westerdale, The Star sports editor, said: "We want Doncaster fans to get behind our campaign to Paint The Town Red, wearing Doncaster Rovers tops, or red and white clothing, this Friday and Saturday.

"It's a great way to show your pride in the team and we can also raise lots of money for a very worthy cause.''

Greg Oldfield, Director of Fundraising for Bluebell Wood, said: "Doncaster Rovers are great supporters of Bluebell Wood and we are thrilled that they have made it to Wembley. The team have really gone that extra mile this year, and any donations made for wearing the Rovers strip in the run up to the game will go towards Bluebell Wood's own Golden Mile. This simple idea is to collect a mile of £1 coins before the end of July, and this would be a great time to show your support of two great local causes."

Send you're minimum £1 cheque, payable to Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice, to Paint The Town Red, Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice Donation, Promotions Department, The Star, York Street, Sheffield, South Yorkshire S1 1PU
