A TAXI driver was robbed of his takings by two men who ambushed him after he dropped a customer off.
The 32-year-old had just dropped a regular off on Margaret Road, Darfield, when a man opened his door, punched him in the face and grabbed his money bag.

As the taxi driver tried to hold on to his cash he suffered a two inch cut to his hand. It is
not known what caused the injury. Police are trying to trace the robber and another man with him when he struck.

Both men were white and aged around 18. One was 5ft 9in, slim, with a distinctive flat nose. He wore a dark or black baseball cap and a dark top.

The other was 5ft 6in, with a broad Barnsley accent. He wore a light coloured baseball cap and dark clothes.
