A GROUP of South Yorkshire prize winners have been given an unlikely compliment… of having a face like the back end of a bus.
To celebrate Stagecoach Yorkshire's new-look network for its Dearne Valley services, the images of eight local people will now take pride of place on the 13 new vehicles as well as seven buses introduced last year.

Andrea Nicholls, from Tickhill,
one of the winners said: "I am delighted to win – it is definitely a prize with a difference! It is fun to think that I will be appearing on the back of the buses.

"My friends and family weren't surprised when I told them because I am always up to something. I am looking forward to spotting myself around the Dearne Valley."

In addition to becoming the faces of the Dearne Valley services, each competition winner also gets free travel for a year with Stagecoach Yorkshire.

Minister of State for Transport and Doncaster Central MP Rosie Winterton will be launching the £1.5 million fleet of 13 new Stagecoach Yorkshire buses on Friday.

She will be joined at the launch event by the eight local people who won the contest to become the faces of the Dearne Valley services.
