SOLDIERS from the newly-created Yorkshire Regiment are to parade through Barnsley to mark the transfer of Freedom of the Borough from the former Duke of Wellington's Regiment.
The troops will be carrying their bayonets and displaying their colours as they pass through the town centre from 12.15pm on Tuesday October 21.
The parade will give the town's residents the chance to acknowledge and applaud the dedication and bravery of the UK armed forces.
