HIGH fives for City of Sheffield Hatters as a third quarter points blitz at Sevenoaks Suns maintained their 100 per cent record.
They went into the break 30-20 ahead and after skipper Katie Crowley had set the tone in the second half with an early three-pointer, Hatters took complete control. Successive turnovers gave Sarah Naylor quick back-to-back points as her team establis
hed a match-winning 27 point lead.
Rosalee Mason led the scoring charge in the final quarter and finished as the game's top scorer with 23 points as Hatters ran out comfortable 78-45 winners to keep a tight hold of top spot in National League Division One. Naylor and Stephanie Gandy each returned 17 points.
Sheffield's finest face a double-header league and cup weekend. They entertain London Mets at All Saints tomorrow (5pm tip off) and on Sunday travel to face Team Northumbria in the quarter-finals of the National Cup (3pm).
Disappointment for the Under-18s as they missed out on a place in the quarter-finals of the Sureshot National Cup. Playing under the banner of City of Sheffield Saints, they gave their worst performance of the season in their 43-35 defeat against Nottingham Wildcats.
