HOLMESFIELD took on the favourites tag for the Winston Cup after they qualified for Finals Day in impressive style.
In their opening match they clubbed their way to 169-6 from their 20 overs which Hathersage couldn't match as they closed on 124-7.

Nick Crapper then cracked an unbeaten 67 as they eased their way past Walkley's total of 103 for the loss of just
three wickets. Earlier Walkley's 71-7 was never enough as Hathersage sealed a comfortable victory.

Meanwhile Whittington Wanderers continued to turn this season into one to remember as they moved into the finals with two comprehensive wins.

Firstly they gained a six wicket victory over Transport after they'd bowled them out for 56 and they were even more dominent against Zingari as they shot them out for just 37 in their eight wicket success. Zingari could only manage 30 after Transport had set them a target of 132.

Ridgeway took their place after a thrilling finish at Grindleford. Their 96-7 looked gettable but the run rate crept up for Grindleford and eventually was too much as they fell three runs short.

Both sides had dispensed with Youlgreave Lodge with ease. Grindleford bowled them out for just 15 in eight overs, a total which Ollie Brown knocked off on his own in the first over and then Ridgeway kept them to 49-2 to win by nine wickets.

The final place in the semis goes to one of Stanton, De La Salle or Chesterfield Barbarians.
